Maho Bay: Feeling Blue?

Maho Bay

Maho Bay as seen from the water

This is Maho Bay. It’s beautiful, like most things in the Virgin Islands. Maho Bay is located on St John’s North Shore. It usually is very calm at Maho as it is protected by land on most sides and snuggled back in a corner.

The aquatic wildlife of the bay consists mainly of queen conchs, southern stingrays, cushion sea stars and an occasional sea turtle.

The Maho is a type of tree also known as the Sea Hibiscus. It has a large round / heart shaped leaf and yellow flowers that will turn purple.
